2022 Finishing News

To our customers and friends,

We are so grateful for your continued support of Needleworks! Thanks to you, we have already reached a record-breaking year of finishing. We are constantly amazed by your stitching talent and graciousness as we finish your pieces to the quality and standard that you expect from our Needleworks “elves”.

Our workroom team continues to create projects with a lengthy wait time (180 days is the average for many items). We are frustrated by the delays and look forward to our former 3-6 week turnaround times just as much as you do!

It is with your support and patience that we are able to assemble as many projects as we have. We appreciate those of you who complete finishing forms, provide photos and drawings of special requests, and have learned our ‘lingo’. Thanks to your efforts, we have seen a 60% reduction of paper use and immeasurable time saved during our check-in process. We thank you for your prompt response to inquires, as well.

Please review our 2022 deadlines as indicated below. Several factors determine our deadlines: the unprecedented volume of finishing accumulating across the nation, our turn-in rates, the personal circumstances of our staff, and the transmission rate of Covid in our area. We strive to maintain our level of quality and provide a safe workroom environment moving into peak season.

Beginning Monday, July 18, we will return to using the bins in the hallway for pick up of finishing. We will notify you when finished items are in the pick-up bin. The drop-off bin is for Christmas stockings and belts, only.

***Please do not drop-off or ship any items except stockings and belts to the workroom as we are at capacity.***

As soon as time and space allows, we will announce that we are resuming acceptance of items for the 2023 season. We have a secure method of logging items into our system and assure you it will be fair to those who adhere to our above request.

We look forward to creating many more cherished pieces for you in the coming months!
